8 ounces plus 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Coat the inside of an 8x8-inch baking dish with the olive oil.
Stir the uncooked macaroni, milk, salt, pepper, and 8 ounces of the shredded cheese together in the baking dish until well combined.
Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil then place in the preheated oven.
Bake for 45 minutes.
Remove the foil and sprinkle the remaining 4 ounces of shredded cheese evenly on top then continue to bake, uncovered, for about 25 more minutes or until bubbly and most of the liquid has been absorbed.
