Spicy Raita

An Indian condiment/dip made of yogurt, onion, serrano, cucumber, cilantro, and spices usually served with kebabs, meats, and curries.

Spicy Raita recipe

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces plain whole milk yogurt
  • 1/2 small English cucumber, peeled and chopped small
  • 1 serrano pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup freshly chopped cilantro
  • 1 TBSP fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • salt & pepper



Directions

  1. Stir the the yogurt, cucumber, serrano, onion, cilantro, lemon juice, cumin, and 1/4 tsp salt until well combined.

  2. Taste and season with additional salt & pepper if necessary.
